Kolara (Karnataka): A rehabilitation centre in Karnataka's Kolara district is struggling to feed around 100 orphans in its charge due to the ongoing lockdown to check the spread of coronavirus.
Antaragange rehabilitation centre largely relies on charity to provide food and shelter to children and old-age people staying there. However, it is facing a shortage as donors are not being allowed to enter the centre due to lockdown.
From domestic helps to construction workers, carpenters, slum-dwellers and other daily wagers in the country, all have been struggling to make ends meet.
It is pertinent to note that growing food security is haunting the country's underprivileged, thousands of whom are already going to bed hungry despite government efforts.
