Bengaluru (Karnataka): Former BJP minister Ramesh Jarakiholi accused in the 'sleaze CD case' retracted his 'statements' after calling senior congress leader DK Shivakumar 'impotent'.

Speaking to media at his residence in Sadashivanagar, he made it clear that he regrets the use of bad words against DK Shivakumar.

Congress workers attack Jarakiholi residence

Congress Yuva Morcha members tried to usurp the Jarakiholi's residence in Sadashivanagar, protesting the BJP leader's derogatory remarks against Shivakumar. The party's youth wing workers raised slogans against Ramesh Jarakiholi. Later, the protestors were arrested and removed by the police.

Shivakumar says Jarakiholi 'frustrated'

Meanwhile, the Congress state president who is currently campaigning for the party in poll-bound Tamil Nadu said the woman's family and Jarakiholi are 'frustrated'. He clarified that there is no link between him and the woman tied to the sleaze CD case.

"They have to solve their problem. I don't answer this and I don't need it. There is law and their own government. Let them investigate this. I do not know anything about the allegations of her parents. I have not met anyone," he said.

Woman's family levels charges against Shivakumar too

Earlier today, the woman's parents had alleged that DK Shivakumar had sent the girl to Goa. Speaking to the media, the woman's father said Shivakumar gave money and sent her to Goa.

"If anything happens to the girl KPCC president D K Shivakumar will be held responsible. He is using our daughter to play dirty politics. I have no political support. My daughter had informed me saying that she will be meeting DK Shivakumar," he said.

"I'm a retired army person I know how to safeguard, my daughter. I have safeguarded the nation. If anything happens to her it is because of DK Shivakumar," please said a visibly upset father of the woman.

The girl's brother said the family has handed over 'all the proofs' to the police. The brother also lashed out on the former journalist Naresh Gowda's offer to protect the woman.

"Who is he to protect her? My father is an ex-soldier," he said.
