Bengaluru (Karnataka) : Prime Minister Narendra Modi began his 26.5 km mega road show in Silicon City Bengaluru today to campaign for the BJP candidates contesting in the May 10 Karnataka assembly elections. The activists and sympathisers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) lined up on either side of the road, greeting and waving back to the Prime Minister.
During his previous visit, Modi held the first road show in the Karnataka capital from Nice Road Junction to Sumanahalli Circle in Bengaluru North Constituency. Today, the Prime Minister is holding his second roadshow in Bengaluru South Lok Sabha Constituency. The BJP is banking heavily on Modi's hectic electioneering for retaining power in the 2023 polls.
In today's massive road show, Modi will cover 26.5 kms from Someshwar Bhavan RBI ground in Bengaluru South to Sanki Tank in Malleshwar. In view of Modi's roadshow, 34 roads are being closed from 8 am to 1 pm. Bengaluru Police requested people to use an alternative road. An 8 km roadshow will be held from Thippsandra's Kempegowda statue to Trinity Circle from 10 am on Sunday.
A two-day roadshow is being held with the intention that if the roadshow is held on a single day, it will cause trouble to the public. The Prime Minister is conducting a two-day road show to respect the sentiments of the public.

BJP state and city leaders are welcoming the Prime Minister with a shower of flowers all along the route. BJP State Election Management Committee Convener Shobha Karandlaje has informed that the arrangements for the PM's visit have been made after holding discussions with the officials of the relevant departments so that there is no inconvenience to the public.
