Bengaluru: In a shocking incident, a case of child marriage, was reported on Saturday in Arekere, Bengaluru. A 16-yr old boy was forcefully married to a 19 yr old girl under the immense pressure.
A week after this case was highlighted, the Puttenahalli police have registered a case against the boy’s parents and booked them under appropriate sections of the Prohibition of Child Marriage Act.

Sources say that as soon as police got the information, it rushed to the boy's residence where they found that the girl didn't have her parents and she had been putting up with the boy's family for long.
Reports say, the Police have registered a case against and the parents of the 16 yr-old-boy and they are currently under interrogation.
After the preliminary probe, it was discovered that the families hailed from Assam but they relocated to Bengaluru 20 years back. Moreover, both families were related to each other.
