Bengaluru: The Karnataka High Court has given its nod for an investigation against Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa for allegedly trying to persuade JDS MLA Naganagouda Kandkur’s son Sharanagouda to switch sides with a promise of money and a job as a minister in 2019.

A purported video of Yediyurappa had surfaced in 2019 to back the claim as Congress and JD-S accused the BJP of misusing government agencies for poaching their lawmakers in the state.

It was alleged the BJP offered a huge amount of money in what is known as 'Operation Kamala’ to poach legislators back in 2019 when HD Kumarswamy headed a coalition government in the state.
