Madhya Pradesh political drama shifts to Karnataka

With four MLAs from Madhya Pradesh arriving in Bengaluru city, the political drama from the state seems to be shifting to Karnataka. According to claims, only people from the Bharatiya Janata Party have access to these MLAs staying at villa Whitefield in Bengaluru.

Bengaluru: Four Madhya Pradesh MLAs, three from Congress and an independent, have arrived in the city, said a source in the Congress on Thursday.

"As per information we received, three Congress MLAs and one independent came to Bengaluru on Tuesday night or early Wednesday and are staying at Oak Wood Hotel in Whitefield in the city's southeast suburb," the source said.

According to a party source, five other MLAs will be joining them tonight.

The source also claimed that only Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) people have access to the four MLAs namely, Surendra Singh Shera, Raghuraj Kansana, Hardeep Singh dunga and Bisahul lal Singh.

However, Karnataka BJP spokesperson G. Madhusudhana denied this and said he is not aware of Madhya Pradesh Congress MLAs arriving in Bengaluru.

"In fact I also saw on TV yesterday that some Madhya Pradesh MLAs have come and stayed in Bengaluru. I don't have any information. Bengaluru is a vast city and anybody can come and stay. There are very big hotels in Bengaluru," Madhusudhana said.

With Operation Lotus looming at large and MP Congress ambitious MLAs threaten to upstage the power struggle between top leaders.

It is said that the state government has provided police security to the four MLAs and the BJP MLA from Mahadevapura assembly Constituency has been given the responsibility of their well-being.

In a late-night political drama in Madhya Pradesh on Tuesday, the Congress alleged that the opposition BJP took eight MLAs to a hotel in Haryana as part of a conspiracy to topple the Kamal Nath government.

On Thursday morning, the Congress held a press conference in New Delhi, in which it claimed the BJP 'abducted 14 MLAs' to bring down its government in Madhya Pradesh.
