Chamarajanagar (Karnataka): While the nation got standstill after all kinds of transport services were suspended amid the lockdown, a 60-year-old man, who found no other option than to wade across a small stream to visit his nine-month pregnant daughter who has admitted at the Mettur Hospital, died.
Perumal, a resident of Pallipalayam in Tamil Nadu's Namakkal district, was worried about his pregnant daughter Sumathi who got married at Pudur in Karnataka's Chamarajanagar.

Concerned about his daughter, Perumal decided to wade across the small stream which led to his death.
After being informed by locals, police rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
The brook (small stream), Perumal failed to cross, is located at 200 m on the Mysore-Mettur main road, in the border area of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.
