Bengaluru: City Market Police in Bengaluru have arrested a man who was trying to sell brown sugar near Mahavir House in Patnol on Thursday. Police also recovered 900 grams of brown sugar, which he hid inside his helmet, from his possession.
Acting on a tip-off, a team led by Inspector Kumaraswamy reached the spot and caught the accused with his helmet.
Police also seized two mobile phones, some cash and a bike from his possession.
During the investigation, it was revealed that the accused used to transfer brown sugar to different parts of the district by concealing it inside prasadam in a courier package.
A case has been registered and further investigation into the matter is underway.
