Bengaluru: The Karnataka Minister and Independent MLA H Nagesh, who was inducted in the cabinet last month, resigns from his minister post on Monday.
He has submitted the resignation to the Governor and is reportedly on way to join rebel MLAs in Mumbai. Three Congress MLA's were absent from today's meeting.
In his resignation, Nagesh expressed willingness to extend support to the BJP, in case it stakes claim to form the government in Karnataka.

Karnataka BJP leader Shobha Karandlaje said, "Karnataka CM HD Kumaraswamy should resign immediately. He has lost the majority. Congress MLAs have already resigned. He should make way for another govt."
"We welcome Independent MLA Nagesh. We will accept anybody into our party who is from non-political dispensation. We're not in touch with any rebels of the Congress and JD(S), as long as they are with their parties, "she added.

DK Shivakumar claims Nagesh resigned under pressure
"Nagesh has too much pressure from a few people. He spoke to the CM. We are in touch with him. Siddaramaiah, Venugopal and CM will brief the media. We won't go to Raj Bhavan now," Shivakumar said.
He also said that Congress-JD (S) was not a minority government.

All Cong ministers are going to resign, says party MP
All Congress ministers in the state are going to resign, said party lawmaker DK Suresh amid the deepening political crisis in the state of the Karnataka.
"There is no infighting. Yeah, I think all ministers are going to resign. Some of them are in involved in other works, they may come," said Suresh.
Suresh accused BJP of wrecking the Congress-JD(S) alliance and said, " BJP national leaders are behind this. BJP people don't want this government or any opposition party to rule in the state or in the country. They are destroying democracy."

Independent MLA H Nagesh resigns
Bengaluru: The Karnataka Minister and Independent MLA H Nagesh, who was inducted in the cabinet last month, resigns from his minister post on Monday.
He has submitted the resignation to the Governor and is reportedly on way to join rebel MLAs in Mumbai. Three Congress MLA's were absent from today's meeting.
In his resignation, Nagesh expressed willingness to extend support to the BJP, in case it stakes claim to form the government in Karnataka.
"I have already withdrawn my support to the government headed by Shri HD Kumaraswamy. I would further by this letter unequivocally state that I would extend my support to the government of Bharatiya Janata Party if called for by your good self," he says.
