Bengaluru (Karnataka): Karnataka Health Minister B Sriramulu on Friday hit out at JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy, accusing the former Chief Minister of pursuing "vote bank" politics and told him to move to Pakistan.

Sriramulu said Kumaraswamy was not a serious politician

Speaking to reporters in Chitradurga, the BJP leader accused Kumaraswamy of "double standards" and said the former Chief Minister wanted to be fair to both Pakistan and India.

"Kumaraswamy is not a serious politician. He has now developed an affinity towards Pakistan. Let him leave the country if he shows so much love towards Pakistan, why should he live in India? I want to tell the former Chief Minister to leave the country and go there(Pakistan)," he said.

Accusing Kumaraswamy of vote bank politics, Srramulu further said, "From so many years, you have been doing vote bank politics. You have to understand one thing, you are the son of a former Prime Minister and also a former Chief Minister. If you want to do vote bank politics I must suggest that it is better you leave the country."

India was a 'Hindu Rashtra' in which people of all communities and castes are living together, but parties like the Congress and the JD(S) were trying to create 'rift' for the sake of vote bank politics, the minister added.

Sriramulu's remarks come after Kumaraswamy took a jibe at BJP over its “obsession with Pakistan”.

In his recent tweet, the former Chief Minister said that the BJP is obsessed with Pakistan and the party could not have got votes in India had Pakistan not existed in the global map.
