Andhra Pradesh launches 'Mana Krishna' mission to clean up Krishna canals

The government of Andhra Pradesh has launched a 400 crore rupees worth clean up drive - Mana Krishna - to rid the canals of Krishna River from plastic waste.

Andhra Pradesh: In a bid to clean up the canals of Krishna River in Andhra Pradesh, the state government has launched the 'Mana Krishna' mission.

The 400 crore clean up drive is an extension of 'Neenu Saitam Krishnamma Suddhi Sevalo’ and 'Mana Vijayawada' mission which were launched in 2019.

Through the 'Mana Krishna' mission, the municipal corporation will aim at making the canals of Krishna River, which is the fourth-biggest river in terms of water inflows, plastic-free.

Emphasising on the importance of the programme Krishna District Collector Imtiaz called for public participation for ensuring successful implementation of the programme.

The previous programmes - 'Neenu Saitam Krishnamma Suddhi Sevalo’was immensely successful in making the Krishna river plastic-free, while 'Mana Vijayawada' helped the city of Vijayawada to get rid of its plastic waste.

         MANA KRISHNA is a 400 crore worth mission that cleans canals of krishna river, makes them beautiful . This programmes is an extension of NENU SAITHAM, KRISHNAMMA SUDDHI SEVA LO,MANA VIJAYAWADA. THESE PROGRAMMES ARE HELPING VIJAYAWADA TO ENHANCE IN ALL WAYS.

 

             VIJAYAWADA MUNCIPAL CORPATION HAS ALREADY STARTED MANY PROGRAMMES TO ERADICATE PLASTIC FROM KRISHNA DISTRICT ITSELF. Through NENU SAITHAM ,KRISHNAMMA SUDDHI SEVALO programmes Krishna river is made plastic free. Then with mana vijayawada programme muncipality is trying to make vijayawada completely plastic free. Now with MANA KRISHNA they are cleanising canals completely making them plastic free and garbage free.

 

       Collector intiaz called out for active participation of public. Plastic usage was cut down drastically after the implementation of programmes said the collector.If this misson is successful  the canals of krishna are going to become clean ,safe and beautiful.
