Kidney Stone Patient breathes his last: Family blames hospital staff

A kidney stone patient passed away at Bengaluru's NewMed Diagnostic Hospital. The victim's family alleges gross negligence on the part of the doctors and hospital staff.

Bengaluru (Karnataka): A man suffering from kidney stone passed away due to the negligence of doctors at Shanthi Nagar's NewMed Diagnostic Hospital. The victim's family is blaming the hospital staff for not providing treatment at the right time.

The patient — Nagraj was admitted to NewMed Diagnostic Hospital as he was suffering from kidney stone problems. He faced breathing problems on Monday morning. The staff nurse tried to provide him with oxygen but could not as she lacked the requisite skill to fit the oxygen respirator.

Sources say doctors too did not manage to help provide oxygen at the right time. The victim's family too, alleges the doctors failed to provide oxygen for the patient. The family further alleged that the hospital kept 3 empty oxygen cylinders which is the reason Nagraj lost his life.
