Karnataka: Unlock in 16 districts, no relaxation for Mysuru

The Karnataka government has announced relaxations in Covid-19 lockdown in 16 districts of Karnataka that have less than 5% positivity rate. However, the lockdown has been extended in the Mysuru district where the positivity rate is more than 10%.

Bengaluru: Announcing further relaxations in Covid-19 lockdown from 21st to 5th July, Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa unveiled Unlock 2.0 in 16 districts of Karnataka.

''The new relaxation will apply to Bengaluru Urban, Uttara Kannada, Belagavi, Mandya, Koppal, Chikballapur, Tumakuru, Kolar, Gadag, Raichur, Bagalkot, Kalaburagi, Haveri, Ramanagara, Yadgir and Bidar districts that have less than 5% positivity. In these districts, All shops and hotels, clubs, restaurants allowed to operate till 5 pm, lodges, resorts, gyms, private offices allowed to operate with 50% capacity. Sports activities can be held without spectators'' CM BS Yediyurappa said.

Green signal for Buses and Metro services:

Public transport, buses and metro services are allowed with 50 per cent capacity.

Night and weekend curfew extended across the state:

Night curfew will continue to be enforced from 7 pm to 5 am, while weekend curfew will be in place from Friday 7 pm to Monday 5 am across the state. However, the lockdown has been extended in the Mysuru district where the positivity rate is more than 10%.
