Karnataka sent 169 migrants back to Rajasthan

Migrant workers from Rajasthan stranded in Belagavi from the last 35 days were sent back to their home town on Saturday. After the announcement of the central government to send the migrant workers, the Belagavi District administration arranged six private busses to send the 169 migrants from the city.

Belagavi (Karnataka): The migrant workers of Rajasthan, who stuck in Belagavi from the last 35 days have been sent back to their home town on Saturday.

These 169 migrant workers came from Rajasthan to Bengaluru and amid the lockdown, they tried to get back their home through the Container truck. After getting the Information, Belagavi police took them into custody and sent them to quarantine in Morarji Desai hostel in the city.

After the announcement of the central government to send the migrant workers, the Belagavi District administration arranged the six private busses to send the 169 migrants from the City.

According to the protocol, officials arranged the seating of 28 migrants for each bus providing masks, sanitizer, and the food kit to the workers for the journey.
