Bengaluru(Karnataka): Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation has changed the seating design on its buses to enforce social distancing.
The state-run bus operator has cut the number of seats on its Rajahamsa service by ten seats to 29.
These buses will have three seats in a row instead of four.
KSRTC has started operating buses with the new design on trial runs between Bengaluru and Mysore.
After six months of suspension due to COVID-19 lockdown, KSRTC has started operating bus services across the state. The lockdown has caused losses and the bus company hopes the new services will encourage people to use its transport systems.
