Bengaluru: BJP candidate Sharanu Salagar, who won from Bidar Assembly constituency in the recently concluded bypoll, was seen touching the feet of Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa before taking oath as a member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly. Before proceeding to Assembly Speaker Kageri Vishweshwar Hegde’s office to take the oath, the new MLA called on the Chief Minister in his office and touched his feet to seek blessings. He also presented a bouquet to him.

Extending the wishes to Salagar, Yeddyurappa said that the people of Basavakalyana have blessed him and he has to fulfill their dreams. The Chief Minister also asked him to address people's concerns in his constituency. Assuring the CM of continuing his good work, Salagar promised that he will help people in every possible way as the party has trusted him. Animal Husbandry Minister Prabhu Chavan accompanied the new BJP MLA.
