Yadagiri (Karnataka): In an interesting twist of events in Karnataka's politics, the state health minister's secret prayer to become the Deputy Chief Minister has come out in open. Karnataka Health Minister B Sriramulu has visited Gade Durga Devi Temple in the district. And he wrote a letter of his wish to Goddess in which he has scribbled like "Sriramulu Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka, Must, Compulsory".
He arrived in Yadgir district to carry out the flag-raising ceremony of the welfare Karnataka festival. During a visit to the Gade Durga Devi Temple in the village of Gonala in Vadagera Taluk in the district, Minister Sriramulu received darshan and wrote 'Sriramulu Deputy Chief Minister of Karnataka Must Compulsory' on a letter addressed to the goddess.
Speaking to the media, he said, "I don't want to disclose what I have prayed. I have begged the Goddess in my mind. Now the letter has been revealed. A friend of mine told me that, it would be good if I received a Devi Darshan".

He quickly added that Chief Minister B.S. Yediyurappa has not gone to Delhi for extension of Cabinet. He has gone for different work, he said.
There is wide speculation over Yediyurappa's visit to Delhi as there are many aspirants, including former JDS and Congress MLAs who switched sides to help BJP form the government, for the plum ministerial posts.
Karnataka currently has three Deputy Chief Ministers and Sriramulu's prayer comes in the wake of possible cabinet expansion in near future.
KPCC president DK Sivakumar had also visited this temple in the past when he was in trouble with the ED. As per his promise, DKS had come to the village of Gonala and had received darshan of the Goddess and made special worship for the position of KPCC president.
