Karnataka CM gets relief from special court, petitioner TJ Abraham alleges larger conspiracy

A special court in Karnataka has dismissed a case of alleged corruption against Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa and his kin. The petitioner in the case TJ Abraham, claims that huge sums of money were illegally transacted and routed to Kolkata through shell companies owned by Yediyurappa and his kin.

Bangalore: In a big relief to Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, a special court in Karnataka on Thursday dismissed a case of alleged corruption against Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, his son, relatives and a minister, relating to a residential project. The petitioner in the case, TJ Abraham, had filed the complaint against Yediyurappa, his son and BJP state vice president B Y Vijayendra, his son-in-law Virupaksha Yamakanamaradi, grandson Shashidhar Maradi, Sanjay Sree, Chandrakanth Ramalingam, Minister S T Somashekar, IAS officer Dr G C Prakash and K Ravi.

Petitioner TJ Abraham says he'll approach the High Court

The Court observed that the private complaint is not maintainable in the absence of valid sanction and, accordingly, dismissed it.

Abraham who is also the President of Anti Graft and Environmental Forum labelled fresh allegations against the CM and even the Court saying that the case was influenced through the office of Karnataka Governor and the office of Chief Minister.

Talking to ETV Bharat in New Delhi, Abraham said that he will write to the Chief Justice of India and the Chief Justice of Karnataka regarding the mishandling of this case by the special court and demand further investigation if possible by the CBI.

Abraham also said that he will first approach the High Court and if needed he will also go to the Supreme Court against CM BS Yediyurappa. Claiming that he has all the substantial evidence supporting his claim against Yediyurappa and his family members that huge sums of money were illegally transacted and routed to Kolkata through shell companies. The firms were allegedly owned by Yediyurappa and his family members.
