Mangaluru: A 16-year-old boy, who was shot mistakenly by his father Rajesh Prabhu, passed away at a private hospital in Mangaluru, Dakshina Kannada district on October 8.
Sudheendra, a Class 10 student was hit by a bullet when his father Rajesh Prabhu opened fire at two of his employees on October 5. After that, Prabhu had a heart attack. Both of them were admitted to the private hospital. However, Sudheendra underwent brain death on October 6. Prabhu was arrested by police on October 7 soon after his recovery.
On October 5, Rajesh Prabhu and Sudheendra went to their office after learning that two employees had a heated argument with Prabhu’s wife over payment issue. Infuriated Prabhu opened fire at two employees but missed the target and bullets hit his son. Logistics firm, Vaishnavi X’press Cargo Private Limited located at Morgan’s Gate in Mangaluru is owned by Prabhu.
