Bengaluru (Karnataka): Bengaluru Central Crime Branch arrested an inter-state gang involved in the illegal sale of country-made weapons in the city. Bengaluru city's police commissioner Kamal Pant has tweeted about this.

Bengaluru-based Ayazullah, Syed Siraj, Mohammed Ali and Arun Kumar were arrested by the crime branch. They were smuggling these arms from Shamli of Uttar Pradesh, Amritsar of Punjab and Shirdi from Maharashtra and were selling them in Bengaluru.
Ayazullah was getting pistols from various states and selling them to Mohammed Ali. He was previously involved in two dacoity cases. Syed Siraj was also arrested earlier under Illegal Weapons Act. Shivajinagar Rowdy Sheeter Mohammed Ali also purchased several pistols from Ayazullah. It is learned that Arun Kumar alias Long Arun, a rowdy sheeter from Tumkur, had acquired a country-made pistol from Syed Siraj.
According to senior police officials, six pistols and 19 live bullets were seized from the accused.
