Shivamogga (Karnataka): A minor girl was gang-raped by a ward boy and his friends at McGann Government Hospital in Karnataka's Shivamogga.
The girl, whose mother was ill and receiving treatment at Mcgann Hospital for the past few days, took care of her mother in the hospital.
Yesterday, with hotels and restaurants closed in Shivamogga due to a communal riot, the girl couldn't get food. Taking advantage of the situation, Manoj, the ward boy, took the girl to his car on the pretext of providing her with lunch. Later, Manoj and his three friends raped the girl.

After returning to the hospital, the victim told her mother about the incident following which a case under the POCSO Act was filed at the women police station. The girl has been sent for a medical examination. The police are searching for the accused.
