Five dead as under-construction building collapses in Bengaluru

Five persons were killed while many others received injuries when an under-construction building collapsed in Bengaluru's Pulikeshi Nagar area on Tuesday night. Several persons have been rescued so far by the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF).

Bengaluru: An under-construction building collapsed here in Pulikeshi Nagar area, killing five persons and injuring several others.

State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF), National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and Civil Defence teams are conducting a rescue operation at the spot and have rescued many persons from under the debris so far.

The injured have been shifted to Bowring and Lady Curzon Hospital.

Reportedly, the adjoining building has also been damaged.
