Shivamogga (Karnataka): As per Indian culture, matrimonies are made in heaven and the marrying couple invites friends, family and other to bless the solemn occasion.
A popular means of inviting guests is by sending out wedding invitation cards. In Shvamogga district of Karnataka, a bride's father has put together a 112-paged invitation pamphlet for the wedding ceremony of his daughter. Panchaksharappa has used his pseudonym Pancharangi to write 676 essays in the wedding invitation pamphlet.
He has written articles about his daughter Shivali and Dharanesh, the groom; different types of marriages; wedding practices in different cultures and Saptapadi (a religious rite in Hindu marriages). HV Pachakshrappa, a writer by profession, included prose, poems and his thoughts about marital life in the special invitation card.
Panchaksharappa has also published a book of 208 pages under the title 'Premanjali'. In addition to the books, he has also presented a CD on engagement topics.
While people splurge several thousands of rupees on fancy photoshoots and other things, Panchaksharappa has thought to make the marriage of his daughter beautiful by sending out the unique wedding card.
