Raichur (Karnataka): The Karnataka government on Wednesday suspended three teachers in Raichur district after ETV Bharat reported a case of giving wrong question papers to students at the Sri Krishnadevaraya High School in Sindhunur.
The suspended teachers have been identified as Shivakumara, M Eranna, and Sunita of the same district.
According to sources, The Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination's Mathematics paper which was held on June 6 and the wrong question paper was allegedly provided to the students by these teachers.
The matter came into limelight after the students alleged that the concerned invigilators opened and distributed among students the question paper of Mathematics, which is meant for supplementary examination students, sources said.
When ETV Bharat reported the negligence, Karnataka's Deputy Director of the Public Education Department reacted promptly over the issue and took the cognizance of the matter and investigated it. On Wednesday Deputy Director suspended three teachers and issued a show-cause notice to them, sources added.
The department directed teachers and school administration to be careful during conducting the examinations and in strengthening the functioning of flying squads to check to copy.
