Bengaluru: Shocking pictures and videos of stray dogs nibbling on half-burnt corpses of COVID-19 patients in Bengaluru are making rounds on social media.

As Bengaluru is running out of space for cremating bodies due to a rapid surge in the number of deaths of COVID-19 patients, their relatives are asked to rush with the funeral ceremony so that they can make way for the next set of bodies to be cremated.

It is alleged that the undertakers remove the firewood, used in cremating the bodies, as soon as the relatives of the deceased vacate. As a result, half-burnt bodies remain laid on the funeral pyre, attracting stray dogs in the vicinity.
