1. What is the loss due to fireworks prohibition?

The fireworks ban is a huge loss for us. People are afraid of being penalized by the police and are hesitant to buy firecrackers. Fireworks have already been purchased by the traders. These fireworks will remain unsold. This will cause a lot of trouble for nearly 8,000 people.

2. Experts report says that fireworks create problems for Corona infected - what you say?

Experts could have informed us about the matter six months in advance. Why they are saying this now after all the preparation have been done? Doesn't the smoke of burning plastic and other wastes in the city cause pollution? Delhi is the most polluted city in the country. It's been years since fireworks were banned. Even then, Delhi is still the most polluted city. Vehicles and industries account for 90 per cent of the pollution. Pollution is caused by illegal fireworks is not by officially approved fireworks. Illegal firecracker manufacturers fill it with charcoal powder and ash. This is why black smoke comes. But it is clear that good firecrackers don't emit too much smoke.

3. What are green firecrackers?

According to the rules of the Environment Department, the amount of smoke produced in fireworks is one percent. More than 40 percent smoke emanates mostly from illegal firecrackers. So you have to stop cheap unauthorized fireworks. The government also loses taxes if illegal fireworks are purchased. That is exactly why green fireworks are allowed. If licensed fireworks are used, the amount of smoke is significantly lower. None of us who have bought firecrackers have said that any disease has affected us. People are confused as to what green fireworks are and what fake fireworks are.

4. What are the official fireworks standards?

In 2017, the Supreme Court imposed some firecracker rules. Central Government's NEERI sets the standards for crackers to be used. Official fireworks dealers follow that. The official firecrackers manufacturer maintains the NEERI certificate and the prescribed standard. The pollution rate is very low.
