Hubli (Karnataka): The officials of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) took Former minister Vinay Kulkarni to Hubli to investigate the murder of Zilla Panchayat member Yogesh Gowda.
Former minister Vinaya Kulkarni was summoned to Hubli for questioning in connection with the murder of Yogesh Gowda.
A hearing is underway in a room at the CAR ground in Gokula Road, Hubli. The police have cordoned off the area.
CBI officials are also investigating the Somu Namgowda and Vinaya Kulkarni. Somu Namgowda a close associate of Vinaya Kulkarni.

Vinay Kulkarni is in judicial custody for a day in connection with the murder of Dharwad ZP member Yogeshgouda. He spent the night in Hindalga jail of Belagavi as a general prisoner.
Kulkarni is currently lodged in a separate cell in the Red Zone cell of Hindalga Prison as per Covid rules. He is being held in the same cell used for common prisoners. He complained about the cell and appealed to prison staff for a mosquito coil. The trial inmate was given the number 16635.
CBI Prosecutors had requested to have him detained for three days. But the court-ordered only one-day judicial detention.
Gowda, a BJP Zila panchayat member, was killed in his gym on June 15, 2016, by unidentified men.
CBI suspected Kulkarni was being evasive in his replies during the questioning and needed custodial interrogation to unearth the larger conspiracy.
