BSNL employee helps Police cremating COVID-19 victim in Karnataka

Umesh Amin, a BSNL employee helped the police in performing the last rites of an elderly woman who died of COVID-19. He was provided with all precautionary measures at the crematorium.

Uppinangady (Karnataka): At the time when no one was coming forward to help the police, Umesh Amin, a BSNL employee helped the police in performing the last rites of an elderly woman who died of COVID-19 here.

The police had provided him with all precautionary measures at the crematorium.

“Iriya Sir, a police officer came to me and requested the woman’s funeral.” At that time, I realised that the hard work the police are doing is praiseworthy. So, I decided to help them in this,” Umesh told ETV Bharat.

The district administration and the Police department also praised and thanked Umesh for helping the police.
