Bengaluru: A suspicious object, resembling the casing of a hand grenade was found at KSR central station on Friday, creating panic among commuters.
Following the bomb scare, all passengers were frisked by the police.
Railway police had reported that a hand grenade was found near the trolley path on platform one, following which an inspection was carried out by the bomb disposal squad.
According to the Railway Officials, the object, found by an employee near the Sanghamitra Express, has been termed non-explosive.
However, the area was cordoned off following the incident.
The train movement has been restored expect on Platforms 1 and 2.
Railways ADGP Alok Mohan took stock of the situation. Checks have been carried out in platforms, coaches and parcel offices.
