Bengaluru: A person was killed in a blast which occurred near the residence of Munirathna, MLA of Rajarajeshwari Nagar, in Vyalikaval area, here on Sunday morning.
The deceased has been identified as - Venkatesh, a domestic help working in the area, and was reportedly strolling down the road during the time of the incident.
The police are yet to ascertain the nature of the blast, which happened at a parking lot.
City Police commissioner T Suneel Kumar inspected the spot and said that investigation was underway.
"An FSL team has been called in and a probe has been launched. Preliminary investigation revealed that the incident took place around 9.15 am and the reason for the blast is yet to be ascertained," he added.
Munirathna's house is located near 11th B cross, Vayyalikaval.
