The historical fort is hogging the limelight for wrong reasons as it has been transformed into a den of illegal activities and shelter home for recalcitrants.
Lack of maintenance by the government has resulted in a massive growth of thorny bushes and unwanted wild vegetation in the premises of the castle, allowing local goons and gamblers to usurp the spot forcing visitors to desist from venturing there.
As per locals, development of this historical place will increase tourism and employment opportunities for the youths provided the government takes adequate steps in this direction.
