Bengaluru: A 68-year old man has lodged a complaint with Bengaluru's Banashankari police against his daughter and son-in-law for allegedly torturing him over a property issue.
The complainant, identified as Munivenkatarama of Banashankari, alleged that his daughter, Gangavathi and her husband Venkatesh were harassing him physically and mentally for the past several days allegedly to grab his property worth Rs 4.65 lakh.
Gangavati and Venkatesh not only tortured him but also allegedly starved him for five days, the FIR said.
"They also took money from me promising to return some days later. But they didn't. When I asked them to return my money, they refused and started beating me. My daughter put me in a room for five days without food. They had taken 2 gold rings and a necklace from me but did not return yet," he alleged in the FIR.
Meanwhile, a case has been registered against his son-in-law and daughter with the layout police station in Banashankari and police started interrogating the accused couple.
