Bengaluru (Karnataka): A man, identified as Suresh Babu, was arrested in Karnataka's Bengaluru after he allegedly hanged his wife and minor son on Sunday following alleged torture by a money lender. The gruesome incident was caught on camera by his daughter, who managed to escape the wrath of her father.
However, initial reports also suggest that Babu's wife Geetha Bai committed suicide following the death of her 12-year-old son. The video, which was submitted to the police as evidence, shows Babu hanging his son Varun even as his wife cries and pleads for mercy.
Babu's daughter has alleged that her father was planning to kill her as well before attempting suicide himself.
The accused was working as a delivery executive with a food delivery application and Geetha Bai was employed as a housekeeper in another private firm.
The couple had reportedly repaid a loan that they had borrowed from a private money lender in Bengaluru but were still allegedly being harassed and tortured by the latter.

Meanwhile, a case has been filed in the HAL police station, and further investigation is underway into the incident.
