Bengaluru: As the dead bodies are lining up in Bengaluru, a centralised system has come into the place where as many as 12 electric crematoriums will cremate COVID-19 dead bodies in the city.

The centralized system has been implemented so that dead bodies do not queue up and bodies do not go from the various hospitals to the same crematorium.

As per the centralized system, the bodies will be sent to the crematorium at a fixed time to avoid the queue. An official informed that 10 am booking will get a slot of 2 PM.

The city has also introduced three toll-free helpline numbers which will help people to book the slot for the dead bodies. The helpline numbers will operate every day from 7.00 am to 10.00 pm.
