Bengaluru: In a recent development to the Bengaluru gang-rape case, where a young Bangladeshi woman was allegedly sexually assaulted in the city by her friends, Bengaluru East Division DCP Dr Sharanappa SD on Saturday informed that all the six accused including two women, who were reportedly seen in the viral video, have been arrested.
He stated that the 22-year-old victim has also identified all of them and they all belong to an international human trafficking racket.
According to the police, the accused and the victim are from Bangladesh and came to India illegally. They lived at NRI Colony in Bengaluru's Ramamurthy Nagar. The accused were reportedly involved in prostitution, and they also filmed the act on a mobile phone.

"Victim and accused do not have valid documents, passport and visa. Further investigation is underway," Dr Sharanappa SD said.
Police sources said that the victim will be produced before a judge to record her statement virtually from an unknown location after her medical examination.
The video clips of the incident will be used as evidence against the accused, reports said.
The accused were identified as Ridai Babu, Rakibul Islam Sagar, Muhammad Babu Sheikh, Hakeel, Kajal and Nazareth.
The video was viral in the northeastern states of India and Bangladesh. The incident came to light after Assam police launched a probe and posted screenshots of the accused from the video. Bangladesh police later found the family members of the victim and coordinated with the Bengaluru police.

The victim was trafficked to Bengaluru from where she managed to escape to Kerala. The arrested suspects found her and raped her as a punishment for escaping.
Police found the victim in Kerala's Calicut while the absconding accused were nabbed in Bengaluru on Thursday.
While the accused were being taken to Channasandra near Kanaka Nagar for interrogation, two of them attempted to escape and attacked police officers.
The police in return shot two men, Ridai Babu and Sagar, on their legs. They were later rushed to the hospital for treatment.
