Chikodi(Karnataka): Amid the COVID-19 lockdown, the Karnataka government has come up with the idea of selling plants online to the farmers. This is done with the intention to promote social distancing.
Belagavi Horticulture department is the first to take an initiative to sell plants online. The varieties include mango, Sapota, coconut, Lemon, Curry leaves, and many others.
Meanwhile, the department has set a target of selling 3000 plants.
