Bengaluru (Karnataka): In an attempt to prevent urinating in the streets, the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has installed huge mirrors worth of Rs 50,000 on the wall of the five most urinating streets in Karnataka's capital city.

Even after long-term awareness programmes on cleanliness have been organised across the country, still, people have the bad habit of urinating in the streets.

Hence, to install the mirrors might awake the conscience of those who engage in the habit, said BBMP officials.

At present mirrors have been installed only in five areas which have been identified as the streets where people are seen engaging in the habit. KR Market, Church Street, ESI Hospital, Indiranagar and Queen's Road near Shivajinagar are those places where BBMP has set the mirrors.
