Abandoned bag found in Bengaluru, no suspicious object inside

Following the incident of a bomb in Mangaluru airport premises, another suspicious bag was found in Bengaluru on Wednesday. The police along with the bomb squad reached the spot on time and confirmed that the bag was harmless.

Bengaluru: No suspicious object was found inside an abandoned red bag found near D-Mart located in Bengaluru's Hulimavu.

Bengaluru Police evacuated everyone from D-Mart, as soon as the news was reported to them by the locals.

Bomb squad who checked the bag confirmed that no dubious object was found inside it.

On Monday, a bomb was found in an unattended bag near a ticket counter of the departure gate of the international airport in Mangaluru and was later defused at a nearby open ground.

Earlier in the day, a 36-year-old man, who was suspected to have planted an explosive at the Mangalore International Airport surrendered before the police on Wednesday, officials said.

Presently Medical examination of accused Aditya Rao is under the process in St Martha Hospital.
