But the frightening fact is many people are losing their lives, even though they do not have any Covid-19 symptoms. SUCH CASES ARE COMING UP EVERY DAY

The second wave of coronavirus has created a panic across the country and Karnataka is not untouched by this. During the initial days of the growing infection, the death toll of the untreated patients was very low but between 5 May and 8 May, the death of 790 such people was reported in five days, which was alarming.

May 4, 2021: A total of 392 corona infected people died in Karnataka on this day, out of which 11 were without symptoms. They accounted for 28.3 per cent of the total deaths.

May 5, 2021: A total of 346 corona patients died on May 5, of which 136 were patients with no symptoms of Covid-19, which was 39.3 per cent of the total deaths.

May 6, 2021: The most frightening statistics came out on May 6, when more than 50 per cent of the patients who died of Covid-19 were those who did not have symptoms of Covid-19. On May 6, 328 corona-infected people died, of which 167 were those who did not have any symptoms.

WHAT THE EXPERTS HAVE TO SAY?

Dr Sachin of Manipal Hospital says that in the current wave of corona infection, the mutant virus is very dangerous, which spreads very fast. According to Dr Sachin, the new mutant of corona targets the lungs. It is not detected even in RT PCR. Only through a CT scan, the infection in the lung is detected and in most cases, it is too late.

SUCH CASES ARE MORE DANGEROUS

Experts believe that such cases are more dangerous because they are a danger only to themselves but to others as well. At first, they keep on infecting others unknowingly because they have no symptoms of Covid-19. Such an infected person is also found to be negative during RTPCR investigation. In such a situation, they do not even seek medical advice or treatment, and in a few days, corona infects their lungs so much that he even dies. The death of 790 such people in five days in Karnataka is a testimony to this.

WHAT TO DO IN SUCH A SITUATION

According to experts, the new mutant of Covid is spreading rapidly and is directly damaging the lungs. The infected person does not initially have any symptoms, but by the time he finds out, the infection has spread to the lungs so much that he has to be admitted directly to the ICU and many patients die. In this case, experts believe that ignoring even minor symptoms along with medical advice proves to be the most fatal. In such a situation, the question arises that when the symptoms will not be seen and the investigation report will also be negative, then what should such patients do and when such people should go to the doctors for advice.

  • Be careful and get investigated when you come in contact with corona infected after returning from travel or if there is an increase in the case around
  • Seek doctor’s advice in case of blockage, shortness of breath or difficulty in breathing
  • Check the oxygen level continuously. Contact the doctor if your oxygen level comes down to 94
  • Periodically get the lungs checked on medical advice
  • People who smoke should be more careful
  • Seek medical advice even if there are minor symptoms

Many experts recommend a re-test or a lung test even if the corona report is negative because the new mutant of Covid-19 is spoiling the fungus. As many as 790 deaths in five days in Karnataka are a kind of disturbing record as during the second wave of corona infection, there were also cases from Delhi to Maharashtra and some other states where people were found to be corona infected despite having no symptoms. In such a situation, prevention is better than cure!
