Belagavi: Ten Tablighis of Indonesia were sentenced to two days of imprisonment and Rs 20,000 fines each by Belgavi's second JMFC Court with Justice B.V.Lalithasree for violating the rules of passports in India.
The Tablighis, who had come to India on a tourist visa were involved in religious activities, and also the Tablighi Jamat held in New Delhi was a violation of the visa norms.

Due to the shut down of Aeroplane services during the lockdown, these 10 Tabhlighis arrived in Belagavi and stayed in a mosque. After it came to the notice of Malamaruthi Police, they have been arrested and their Passports confiscated.
Police have registered a separate case on them once before too.
