Jamshedpur: Three members of a family, two brothers and their nephew, jumped into a well in an attempt to rescue their drowning goat in Puranapani village under Jharkhand East Singhbhum's district on Saturday evening. While one of them drowned, the two others are in a critical condition.
As soon as the goat fell into the well, one of the brothers, Lipa Murmu, jumped into the well to save the animal. When it took him longer than usual to come out, his brother Mohan Murmu also jumped into the well.
In an attempt to save them, their nephew Thipu Murmu also jumped into the well.
While Lipa and Thipu were rescued by the villagers, Mohan droned in the well and his body is yet to be recovered.
Police reached the spot as soon as they were informed about the incident.
