Palamu: Three young boys drowned on Tuesday while taking bath at the confluence of Auranga and Koyel rivers in Jharkhand's Palamu district.
One body has been recovered so far, while efforts are underway to trace the other two youths, a senior district official said.
A group of seven, most of them teenagers, had gone to take bath in the river around six in the morning, but three of them lost balance and drowned, he added.
The deceased were identified as Niraj, Abhinav and Sonu. Whereas Aditya, Mrityunjaya, Ankit and Abhishek survived the mishap. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination and an investigation has been launched into the incident by Palamu Police.
