Simdega: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat will visit Ramrekha Dham in Simdega district on Wednesday.
Bhagwat will discuss developmental plans of the holy place with the Mahant Umakant Maharaj and members of Dham Vikas Samiti and Hindu Dharma Raksha Samiti.
Few months ago, the shrine's priest sent an invitation to Bhagwat to visit the renowned holy place.
Legend has it that Lord Ram, his wife Sita and brother Laxman had spent some days at Ramrekha Dham during their 14-year exile in the forest.
Their idols are placed in a huge cave at the shrine. Thousands of pilgrims congregate during the month of 'Kartik' (November) at the 'dham'.
Soon the state government is about to accord the dham, the status of a state-level pilgrimage centre.
