Giridih (Jharkhand) : Addiction to highly popular mobile game PUBG almost cost a 17-year-old from Sonbad village in Jharkhand's Girdih district his life.
According to reports, the 17-year-old, Prem started playing the online-battle royale game and within the span of 30 days grew addicted to it.
Things turned upside down when he lost the game on Monday following which he felt unconscious and later, his health condition started deteriorating.
Subsequently, on Monday evening the teenager, was admitted to Sadar Hospital for treatment, where he was detected with acute mental stress.
Dr. Ravi Maharishi, the doctor attending the student said, "He has partially lost mental balance and his mind is under the influence of 'PUBG' game."
Expressing concern over the addiction of game among the youngsters ,Maharishi said that these kinds of game have adverse effect on the mood of children, parents should also pay attention to what their children are doing on their mobile phones.
