Dec 18 Story - Plastic Campaign

Due to the increase footfall, during that time of the year, a priest from Deoghar took up the challenge to educate and create awareness among people about the dangers of plastic waste.

The Jharkhand government had in 2017, banned the use of polythene, but people continued to use it indiscriminately.

However, this priest took lead and launched an initiative to help the city get rid of the plastic abuse.

The priest, Mahesh Pandit had put up a slogan board on his motor bike and rode along the city streets to create this awareness.

Mahesh Pandit has been alone in this campaign for the last three years. Locals slowly had began understanding his point and are using less of single use plastic.
