Chiabasa (Jharkhand): A man was injured after four People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI) members attacked him with the butt of gun on Wednesday late night here in Hudaganda.
Viskeshan Gop was injured during the incident which took place in Karaikela police station limits of Chaibasa in Jharkhand.
The four PLFI members also created a ruckus at the home of a shopkeeper Manjo Sarangi. They made several attempts to break through the door when Manoj refused to open the doors of the house.
They demanded Rs 50,000 and rice from the shopkeeper.
Though the police arrived at the spot after being informed by the villagers but the PLFI members escaped.
Manoj Sarangi along with his family members left the village after the incident.
Meanwhile, the Naxals assaulted a hotel owner after he refused to allow them to enter the kitchen on Wednesday morning around 8:00 am.
They demanded 'samosa' from the hotel owner Rajendra Mahto, who said that the food is being prepared for lunch.
Earlier, the Naxals stopped the work in progress under 'Karaikela Jalapurti Yojana' in Nakti. The JCB driver was assaulted and the vehicle was set on fire by the Naxals. They have warned the workers to be ready to face untowards circumstances after the work resumes without their permission.
