A Nigerian national has been arrested by Giridih police on charges of cyber fraud. He had cheated a local businessman from Giridih of Rs 80 lakh.

Giridih: The Jharkhand Police on Friday arrested a Nigerian national from Pune on the charge of cyber fraud with a local businessman.

The culprit was arrested for online cheating a popular businessman and head of Chamber of Commerce Nirmal Jhunjhunwala of Rs 80 lakh.

Police found him to be fooling people for money in the name of manufacturing medicines. SP Surendra Kumar informed that a case was registered against him by Jhunjhunwala on November 30, 2019, in the Cyber cell. The cyber police began an investigation under section 39/19.

A Special Investigative Team was formed by cyber cell DSP Sandeep Suman Samdarshi. Further investigation by the SIT exposed the group he was associated with.

The team conducted a raid in Mumbai to catch the group's mastermind AU Mabegabu Henry Alex, also known as Dr. Alex David. But he succeeded in fleeing away.

He was later arrested by Giridih police from Pune. Alex was earlier arrested in a fraud case but was released.

नाइजीरिया के साइबर अपराधी को गिरिडीह की पुलिस ने गिरफ्तार किया है. इस अपराधी को मुम्बई से गिरफ्तार किया गया है. इस अपराधी ने चैंबर ऑफ कॉमर्स के अध्यक्ष को चूना लगाया था.

Body:गिरिडीह. मुम्बई में बैठकर लोगों को ठगने वाला एक नाइजीरियन को गिरिडीह की पुलिस ने गिरफ्तार किया है. इसकी गिरफ्तारी गिरिडीह के प्रसिद्ध व्यवसायी सह चैंबर ऑफ कॉमर्स के अध्यक्ष निर्मल झुनझुनवाला से 80 लाख रुपये की ठगी करने के मामले में की गयी है. इस मामले की जानकारी गिरिडीह के एसपी सुरेन्द्र कुमार झा ने प्रेस वार्ता में दी.

बताया गया कि नाइजीरिया निवासी के रहने वलए इस अपराधी ने दवा बनाने के उत्पात के नाम पर ठगी की थी. एसपी ने बताया कि 30 नवम्बर 2019 को निर्मल झुनझुनवाला ने साइबर थाना गिरिडीह में एक शिकायत दर्ज करवायी थी. बताया गया था कि रेमान्सिन ऑयल नामक उत्पात ( दवा बनाने में प्रयुक्त) की आपूर्ति के नाम पर 80 लाख की ठगी की थी. इस मामले में साइबर थाना में कांड संख्या 39/19 अंकित करते हुवे जांच शुरू की गयी.

एसआईटी का हुआ गठन
जांच के लिए साइबर डीएसपी सन्दीप सुमन समदर्शी के नेतृत्व में एसआईटी गठित की गयी. टीम ने जांच शुरू की तो गिरोह का पता चल गया. इसके बाद गिरोह का मास्टरमाइंड एयू मबेगबु हैनरी अलैस उर्फ डॉक्टर एलेक्स डेविड को पकड़ने के लिए मुंबई में छापेमारी की गयी लेकिन वह भाग निकला. इसके बाद गिरिडीह की टीम ने पुनः जाल बिछाया और इसे पुणे से गिरफ्तार किया गया.

Conclusion: इस गिरोह में गिरफ्तार अभियुक्त के अलावा मिस पमेला, डॉ रेमंड बेन्सन, सुनीता जोस, संजय जोशी नामक अपराधी भी इस ठगी में शामिल है. फरार अभियुक्तों की खोज अभी की जा रही है. बताया कि पकड़े गए इसके पास से दो स्मार्ट फोन, तीन फीचर फोन, एक पैन कार्ड व चार सिमकार्ड जब्त किया गया है. एसपी सुरेन्द्र ने बताया कि वर्ष 2018 में भी यह अपराधी ठगी के मामले में जेल जा चुका है. जेल से छूटने के बाद भी यह अपराधी इसी काम में जुट गया.
