Lockdown: Jharkhand youth stuck in Delhi, surviving on footpath

After the 21 days nationwide lockdown was announced, Kareen Sharma who hails from Jharkhand, was stuck in Delhi and due to the shortage of food and money, he was forced to live on footpaths.

New Delhi: A few days before the first phase of the nationwide lockdown, Kareen Sharma arrived in AIIMS for his treatment in Delhi.

After the 21 days nationwide lockdown was announced, he was stuck in Delhi and due to the shortage of food and money, he was forced to live on footpaths.

Speaking to ETV Bharat, Sharma said that he has been forced to live on footpaths for the last one month, his phone has been stolen, due to which he is unable to speak with his family at home.

This incident reflect the laxity of the state government that claims to help the needy during the lockdown.
