Ranchi: RJD president Lalu Prasad Yadav, who is recuperating in RIMS (Ranchi) while serving jail term in fodder scam cases, has become restless these days, doctors said.
According to his doctors, his mental condition is not stable. However, they said the Eco test conducted recently was absolutely normal.
Dr. Umesh Patel, who is treating Lalu, said the sugar and blood pressure level also keeps fluctuating, which is somehow affecting his mental health.
Prasad also said that Lalu is depressed and looks lost in his ward during the last few days.
"For the past several months, Lalu's health is on a constant decline," Prasad said.
The Supreme Court on Wednesday dismissed the former Bihar Chief Minister's bail plea in multi-crore fodder scam cases, saying it is not inclined to enlarge Yadav on bail in the cases.
Yadav, who has been in the hospital instead of jail for last over eight months, had sought bail on medical grounds.
As per the sources, metal detector has been placed outside Lalu's ward while the use of mobile phones is being monitored continuously. Besides, he has been asked to stay inside his ward due to security concerns.
Meanwhile, jail authorities have been pressurizing continuously to send Lalu back to jail, however, the RIMS administration has not given a green signal to his deteriorating health yet.
The RJD was in power in Bihar with Prasad as the chief minister when the scam had allegedly taken place.
