Jharkhand: Jharkhand Vikas Morcha (JVM) candidate Pradeep Yadav, who is contesting from the Godda Lok Sabha seat this general election, has been accused of sexually molesting a female party spokesperson.
The FIR registered late Friday night by the supposed victim, says that the incident took place on April 20, when Yadav allegedly molested her during an official event. She mentioned that before coming to the police she had narrated her ordeal to JVM chief Babulal Marandi hoping that he would take some action. But, apparently, he didn't take any action against him, which is why she decided to take help from the police.
However, Yadav, who is contesting against BJP's Nishikant Dubey, has alleged that the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) is behind the "conspiracy" to swing votes in their favour.

"BJP has hatched this conspiracy against me out of fear of losing elections. This is political vendetta, " said Yadav while holding a press conference.
Showing pictures of one Mukesh Pathak, who is apparently managing the saffron party's poll campaign, Yadav alleges that Pathak is behind instigating the women to take such action.
"Mukesh Pathak, who looks after the BJP's election campaign across the country, can be seen in these photos with the woman who laid the allegations against me. He is accompanying her everywhere. This is proof enough to prove that the BJP is behind this allegation," said Yadav.
Further accusing the saffron party of having misused state institutions, Yadav said, "BJP government and its workers are misusing the institutional agencies of the state and the country to somehow win the polls."
